 CAREER

           Student Programs

Innoventor offers opportunities for college students to experience working in the field of engineering. Students will have the opportunity to see engineers “in action”, and may themselves contribute to the success of a project.

SUMMER INTERNSHIPS
When our workload dictates, we like to utilize engineering students to help us with production or simple design/drafting tasks. This allows engineering students the opportunity to bring their energy, enthusiasm, and fresh ideas into the reality of working for an actual engineering firm. Their contribution has assisted Innoventor to meet their scheduling milestones and, in some cases, introduces us to future employees.
What sort of projects were you exposed to?
“Projects spanned every facet of engineering. Much of my time was spent with the software group, but I was also greatly exposed to process control and…”
EXTERNSHIP/JOB SHADOWING
Externship: This program is currently offered in conjunction with the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department at the University of Illinois-Champaign/Urbana. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors enrolled in this curriculum participate in this program during their winter break.
Job Shadowing: Students from high school to college levels may participate in this program. Students “shadow” a variety of engineers to experience first hand the different phases of an engineering project life cycle.
COOPERITIVE EDUCATION PROGRAM
Innoventor offers co-op opportunities for undergraduate engineering students in order to earn practical work experience before completing their curriculum. The Innoventor resource staff works closely with the university to obtain the most appropriate co-op candidate for our specific project needs. We provide the students with an environment to obtain a professional “real world” experience and compensate them for their work.
